PVC cables offer excellent flexibility, high resistance to chemicals, flames, and abrasion, with a temperature range for fixed installation between -20°C and +80°C (up to +105°C considering High Temperature PVC).
These cables are widely used in industrial applications, such as multi-pair extension cables in the petroleum refining sector.
Siccet utilizes various types of PVC compounds:
PVC R2 (+80°C) and PVC R3 (+105°C) CEI 20-11: they offer good mechanical and electrical properties.
Operating temperature:
Fixed installation: -20°C / +80°C (+105°C considering HT PVC)
Mobile applications: +5°C / +80°C (+105°C considering HT PVC)
Low-temperature resistant PVC: Used for the insulation and sheathing of special cables suited for mobile applications from -30°C to +70°C.
Oil-resistant PVC: A special compound used as outer sheath for cables exposed to oils and hydrocarbons.
Low-halogen PVC: Used as outer sheath for abrasion resistant cables where low halogen emission is required.
