Siccet produces extruded PFA cables that are used in oil wells, for sensors in chemical plants and for their resistance to temperature performance, which allows their continuous use from -200 °C ÷ 260 °C.
PFA is a fully fluorinated semi-crystalline polymer that has, in addition to temperature resistance, excellent flame resistance, it is extremely repellent to water and oil, and provides a good chemical resistance and superior electrical insulation properties. Its thermal processability make it a perfect solution up to 260 °C where an extruded insulation offers a higher resistance to permeation with respect to taped PTFE, with the added advantage of the cable’s end cost.
